Who can participate?
The training programme is developed for persons involved in procedures determining refugee status or other forms of international protection:
- Decision-makers:
officials at first instance and appeal instances deciding on applicants’ claims (admissibility procedure, merits procedure, review, border police, immigration officers, eligibility officers, magistrates/judges)
- Legal advisers:
NGO staff or lawyers providing legal assistance to an applicant
- COI users:
any member of the above groups
- COI researchers:
staff member of a COI unit not involved in legal assistance or decision-making
- UNHCR field officers
What does it cost?
Participation fees for Blended Learning Courses (4 weeks e-training course + 1 day face-to-face training):
EUR 350,- for participants from governmental institutions
EUR 250,- for participants from non-governmental organisations
Reduction of course fees can be offered to a limited number of participants upon request.
Please note: Costs related to travel or accommodation in connection to the face-to-face training are not covered by the course
participation fee.
COI Workshops are tailored to the needs of the respective target groups and can take between half a day and two days. Please contact us for information on
participation fees.
